Nereus, otherwise known as King Nereus, is the ruler of the kingdom of Xebel, and an enemy of Aquaman.
Biography
Early Life
At some point in his life, Nereus would become the king of Xebel, and would later become an adversary of Aquaman, as well as wanting to claim Mera as his own.

Powers and Abilities
- Atlantean Physiology: As an Atlantean, King Nereus is an extremely powerful being, especially when exposed to water.
- Super Strength: King Nereus has incredible superhuman strength, on par with Aquaman and Ocean Master, though not quite on the same level as that of Superman or Wonder Woman.[2]
- Super Durability: King Nereus is incredibly durable, as he is able to withstand immense underwater pressures.
- Underwater Breathing: King Nereus, due to his Atlantean heritage, can naturally breathe underwater.[2]
- Super Speed: While underwater, King Nereus, like Aquaman and Ocean Master, can swim at supersonic speeds.
