The House of Zod was a noble family hailing from Kandor, and they were known allies of the House of El. One of their members, Dru-Zod, was bred to be a warrior, eventually becoming Krypton's military leader. During the Battle of Krypton, Dru-Zod attempted a coup against the Council of Five, leading to his imprisonment in the Phantom Zone. After the destruction of Krypton, Dru-Zod became the last surviving member of the family up to his death at the hands of Kal-El.[1]
