Zachary Edward "Zack" Snyder (born March 1, 1966) is an American film director, film producer, and screenwriter. He directed Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League and Zack Snyder's Justice League. He also filmed the Flash's side of Captain Boomerang's arrest in Suicide Squad.
He also produced Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman 1984 and The Suicide Squad.
He also wrote Man of Steel Prequel.
He portrayed a British Soldier in Wonder Woman and Coffee Customer in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Snyder directed Superman 75th Anniversary Animated Short.
Snyder also wrote the introduction for the book Man of Steel: Inside the Legendary World of Superman and the afterword for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: The Art of the Film.
He was interviewed for the documentaries Strong Characters, Legendary Roles, All-Out Action, Wonder Woman: Crafting the Wonder, Justice League: Road to Justice and The Flash: The Saga of the Scarlet Speedster.
Snyder stepped away from the post-production of Justice League following the death of his daughter, and Joss Whedon handled re-shoots that reshaped the film. He then worked on the project Zack Snyder's Justice League, an alternate vision based upon original unused footage he had shot for the film which was combined with new footage. The project launched in 2021 for Max.
