Henry William Dalgliesh Cavill (born May 5, 1983) is a British actor. He portrayed Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Zack Snyder's Justice League, Black Adam, and The Flash.
He also portrayed an alternate Kal-El/Clark Kent/Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Footage of Henry Cavill in The Flash was removed during post-production, but he still retained a cameo appearance with his computer-generated likeness briefly appearing in the film.
He was interviewed for the documentaries Strong Characters, Legendary Roles, All-Out Action and Justice League: Road to Justice.
Interview footage was used for the documentary Superpowered: The DC Story.
On December 14, 2022, Cavill issued a statement via Instagram regarding his current status with DC Studios, informing him that he would no longer play the character due to the new creative direction of the DC Extended Universe.[1]
